We’re proud to have returned as a sponsor of the British Library’s Food Season 2025, a vibrant celebration of the people, stories and ideas shaping the way we eat. Now in its seventh year, the Food Season runs until 1 June 2025 and features a dynamic programme of live talks, expert panels, workshops and tastings, all inspired by the British Library’s world-renowned collection of cookbooks, manuscripts and culinary archives. During the final weekend 31 May - 1 June, the Library will be hosting the Food Season’s BIG WEEKEND; a two day celebration of food through words, sounds, cultures, ideas and tastings.
Curated by Dr Polly Russell, Food Season Founder and Head of the Eccles Institute for the Americas at the British Library, with Angela Clutton and Melissa Thompson as co-directors, the season once again brings together some of the most compelling voices in food, culture and academia, including Dame Prue Leith, Jimi Famurewa, Ruby Tandoh, Dan Saladino, Claudia Roden, Bee Wilson and Candice Brathwaite.
“We’re delighted to once again support the British Library’s Food Season,” says Helen Pyman, Marketing Director for Miele GB. “The festival aligns with our passion for innovation, quality and sustainability - not only in appliances, but in the way we experience and understand food.”
Dr Polly Russell adds, “Thanks to Miele’s continued support, the Food Season is able to grow in ambition and reach. The 2025 programme offers an extraordinary platform for exploring the intersections of food with identity, health, environment and storytelling.”
