Warming cardamom and mixed spice pair beautifully with our new PerfectMorning black tea in this cookie recipe that is sure to become a weekend staple over the autumn and winter months. Ingredients
- 450g plain flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp Miele PerfectMorning tea
- 300g caster sugar
- 1 tbsp mixed spice
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 250g unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
Method
- Using a large bowl, combine the butter, sugar and spices, then beat with an electric whisk for 2 – 3 minutes, or until light and fluffy. Add the egg and beat until it’s fully incorporated.
- Combine all the dry ingredients including the Miele PerfectMorning tea and gently fold into the bowl, until evenly incorporated.
- Preheat a Miele oven on the Fan Plus setting at 170°C. Scoop tablespoons of the mixture and roll into balls. Place onto a baking tray, allowing some space in between each ball.
- Bake for 17 minutes, remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.
