Becky’s compact utility room is a perfect example a thoughtfully designed space that maximises storage and efficiency without compromising on aesthetics. What was the inspiration behind and goals for your compact utility room?
“To be completely honest, the main goal was function. I’m a single mum of three boys, so laundry is constant and I just needed a setup that could keep up with our day-to-day life. I didn’t do a full renovation of the space, but I wanted it to feel calm, practical and efficient. Somewhere I could get things done without it feeling chaotic or stressful.”

What clever storage solutions have made the biggest difference in keeping your utility space organised?
“Keeping it simple has been key. I use baskets and jars to store pods, boosters, and cloths so everything’s easy to grab but still looks tidy. I also made sure to keep the surface as clear as possible. Just having a clean space to fold or sort laundry makes such a difference when you’re doing it daily. I’ve tucked essentials away in drawers or on higher shelves to keep things uncluttered but accessible.”
