Ex-racing driver and Formula One World Champion Jody Scheckter started his organic/ biodynamic farm, Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire in 1996, initially intending for it to be a small holding to produce quality, healthy food for his family. After realising that he would have surplus produce, he decided to start selling to the public.
The farm’s aim is to become self-sustaining and self-sufficient, producing “the best tasting, healthiest food, without compromise”. Jody combines science with environmentally friendly tried and tested farming methods to create thriving natural environments to enable the animals and crops to flourish, resulting in delicious tasting produce that is packed full of goodness. The 2,500-acre farm is certified as Biodynamic by Demeter and the parkland is certified as Organic by the Soil Association.
Laverstoke Park Farm produces a range of award winning dairy and meat products, as well as olive oil and a selection of both alcoholic and soft drinks. Awards include Gold and Bronze in the International Cheese Awards; One, Two and Three Star Great Taste Awards; and British Bottlers Institute Awards for the farm’s organic lager and organic apple juice. Laverstoke Park Farm compost is also available to buy online, allowing customers’ gardens to benefit from the team’s soil expertise at home.
Laverstoke Park Farm products can be bought online here, and are also available from Waitrose, Harrods, Selfridges and Fortnum & Mason.
